This competition, created by the Department of Buildings and Department of Cultural Affairs and supported by The Rockefeller Foundation, is a unique opportunity for artists and designers across the United States to contribute to New York City's urban landscape.
We have assembled a jury of world-renowned artists, designers and civic decision makers to select the winning designs in collaboration with the Public Design Commission of the City of New York. Artwork selected through this competition will be made available to building owners to reproduce on temporary protective structures on or over City property.
We encourage all artists and designers to submit their work for consideration. Help us beautify New York City's streets, and promote the maintenance of temporary protective structures in all of our neighborhoods!
