The Province of West Flanders is organizing an international design competition to update the Zwin’s nature tourist recreational infrastructure. This is being done in cooperation with the Flemish Region’s Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB). In the first instance, five designer applicants will be short-listed by an international jury. They will then draw up a preliminary design for a new Zwin Nature Centre with a range of nature tourist attractions and visitor infrastructure for the Zwin region, together with design elements for its broader integration into the Zwin area. The names of the winning designers will be published at the beginning of 2011.
