EFLA Image Competition

Eligible: students, professionals
Register/Submit: 30 September 2011
Registration fee: none

This Europe-wide competition is to promote and reward the submission of professional-quality landscape architectural images - without restriction on the interpretation or definition of ‘landscape architecture'. The results, with the permission of the author, will be used to enrich the EFLA and UNESCO - UN-HABITAT website.

This year, the competition is entitled Landscapes of Diversity; emphasising a fundamental role of external public space as meeting point for all, indistinguishable in terms of race, generation and culture. This competition aims to promote synergies with the UNESCO/UNHABITAT joint tool kit "Urban policies and innovative practices for migrants: inclusive cities for all". EFLA will use the submissions for this competition to cooperate and collaborate with projects undertaken within the framework of the UN-HABITAT and UNESCO common research initiative on "Urban Policies and The Right to the City"; using the exemplar images to promote the professional excellence of our work.

All appropriate images will be displayed on the homepage of the EFLA website for 3 weeks and the overall winner will be rewarded with free entry to the EFLA General Assembly and Regional Congress to be held in Tallinn (2-6th November 2011). In addition the winning image will be used for EFLA's official Christmas card 2012 and the new UNESCO-Uninhabitable web portal "Urban policies and innovative practices for migrants: inclusive cities for all'.
